Friday evening the storms started moving in. By Saturday, it was COLD! We had a mixture of rain and snow ALL day. (Thankfully there was no snow accumulation). But that didn't stop the fun. Uncle Vernon made snow cones and cotton candy. What a blast. But dang if I didn't get any pictures of that. It was snowing and that would have been hard to eat, take pictures and keep the camera dry.
My cousin Kelly does and easter egg hunt for all the kids. She does one for the younger kids (6 and under) and one for the kids 7 years and older. Some eggs have candy in them and some have little papers with prize written on them. They take them to the Bunny Store and redeem their prizes. There is 2 "Golden Eggs". Those hold a bigger and better prize. The little kids Grand Prize this year was some nerf gun. The older kids Grand Prize was an iTunes gift card.
Sunday morning we usually get up and make Golden Rod Eggs...... Biscuits and Gravy with bard boiled eggs in the gravey. Sounds gross, but it is soooo good and is a tradition. However... Sunday morning was still VERY cold. So we (my immediate family) tore down camp and went in to my Mom's. We showered and made Golden Rod Eggs there. Then we hit the road and headed home.
Here are some pictures of the weekend. There are a lot.
