Pay It Forward

Here's the idea. Be one of the first 3 people to leave a comment on my blog and you will be the lucky recipeint of a hand made gift from me some time this year. When it comes will be a total complete surprise! Now here is the catch, you have to post the same thing on your blog and do the same for 3 lucky people. GOOD LUCK! This is going to be fun!

The Adventures of Porkchop Part 2~~

Back in September I posted about us getting a pig to raise for the meat. It's hard to believe it's been 5 months and that it is time to send it off to the Butcher. Quinn helped the Anderson's get theirs into the trailer a couple of weeks ago. So when we went to do ours today, he thought he had it all figured out. Well.....

Quinn backed up the horse trailer to the pig pen. We had it all blocked and had the pig come out of the pen. Well it ran under the trailer gate and through mine and Brycie's legs. Quinn chased it down. Then chased it some more..... And some more. Finally we got it back in the pen. Quinn grabbed it by the back legs and tried moving it in. He got it about half in the trailer and he ran back in the pen. After a bit we got it cornered between the pen, trailer and a barrier we had made. Quinn pulled it's legs and Levi pushed from the front and in he went. Mimi stood back and watched.... She didn't like the loud sqealing. I am sure all the neighbors heard it too.

After all that, we grabbed the Pizza from the oven and headed of to Malapi in Snowflake to drop it off. THAT.... thank goodness went MUCH smoother. We backed the trailer up and out he walked. I was surprised that the girls didn't cry.
We look forward to getting the meat in a few weeks. Anyway... here are some pictures of the days... Adventure with Porkchop..
There he goes..... (Hurry Quinn)....
Don't get infront of him Levi!!!..........
Slowly getting him back......
He's almost there.....
Whew... Both Quinn and the pig need a rest....

Kids at Malipis.. (Porchop behind them)....

So what's next?..... Chickens, a Beef, a Milk Cow? Who knows.... I am pulling for some chickens. We will see. :)

Ice Ice Baby...

On the way home from the basketball tonight, Ice Ice Baby was playing on the raido. It reminded me of High School....(Did I just age myself?) Anyway, I told the kids I was going to come home and put this song on my blog. Brycelyn is totally embrassed, but I think it's funny. So here is a picture and if your lucky (0r not)... the song will play for ya. :)

Mimi's Birthday~

It's hard to believe that my baby is 7 years old. She had her birthday on February 1st. It has gone by so fast. I can still remember it as if it was yesterday. There was lots of snow and it was VERY cold. On our drive over to the hospital, it was -15ยบ between here and Show Low! I got there around 8 am. Things went pretty slow for a most of the day... Then suddenly I went from 4 centemeters to delivery in 45 minutes. I had her in time to get dinner. I was sooo glad too because I was starved! Who cares that I had to eat hospital food.

For her birthday dinner she picked Pizza, breadsticks, salad and a tinkerbell cake. She got to celebrate her birthday with the Super Bowl. My parents were here and we also ate... Chili Con Caeso, Pineapple Cheeseball, and Ranch Dip with chips and crackers. It was a fun day. Even if the Cardinal's lost!

Here are "7" fun facts about Mimi:
1. She likes Hannah Montana.
2. She has a HUGE heart.
3. She loves plain bagels and plain cream cheese.
4. She is a very LOUD person... (we are always having to tell her to quiet down).
5. She doesn't care if her clothes don't match.... (the funkier..the better).
6. She doesn't like to be alone.
7. She loves to write notes to people.
She is so much fun and has been such a blessing in our lives. We couldn't imagine life without this little pistol. Here are some pictures of Mimi over the years...
