Daily Gems

I have signed up to receive "Daily Gems" in my email every day. They are spiritual quotes from church leaders on a variety of subjects. They are always good, but this one got to me today.

It got me wondering if I am doing all I can to make the right decisions. It's so easy these days to get caught up in worldly things and worry about things that in the grand scheme of it all really means nothing. It's hard not to sometimes. I just hope I can always remember to make decision NOT based on worldly judgment.

Quinn was having a craving for some candy corn. So he sent me to the dollar store to grab some. What I came back with was a mix of the candy corn and pumpkin. But I just kept picking out the pumpkins because they are the best. I could eat them and eat them until I am just sick. It's a good thing they don't make them all year long!

Conference Weekend~

Over conference weekend we made a trip down to my Parents house. We canned pinto beans, watched conference and enjoyed visiting. I didn't get any pictures, but my Mom snapped a few.

Brycie entertaining Preston. She kinda has a special place in her heart for him. They share the same birthday... 11 years apart. She was even the first to hold him in the hospital other than his Mom & Dad. She calls him her birthday present.

Preston cried and cried when he was put down for a nap. We were all canning, so Brycie grabbed him and this is what happened (He fell right to sleep)............

My Dad

My cousin Nicole sent this to me in an email and I had to post it. This is a picture of my Dad the day he graduated from ASU in May of 1966. It was taken on the back porch of my Aunt Nan and Uncle Webb's home. My Aunt is going through some old pictures/slides and putting them onto a disk. She found this in some of them. What a nice surprise to find in my inbox this evening.



I think he was such a handsome man and I miss him very much.
