Spring Break

We are on day 5 of Spring Break. It has been very busy so far. Friday evening the kids and I took off to Payson to meet Quinn. He was there officiating a Softball Tournament. Since Levi was playing in a basketball tournament here in town, we didn't get to leave until after 7:30 pm. When it was over we got a Redbox and hit the road. We arrived in Payson at the Matazal Casino and Hotel and went up to the room to relax. What a nice hotel.

Anyway, we went to bed and got up early for a breakfast at Denny's. I ate some yummy Pancake Puppies.

We came back to the Hotel and waited for the pool to open up. Quinn left for the tournament and the kids and I headed to the pool. The kids swam and I sat back and watched TV on a HUGE flat screen that was in the pool area.

I drug them out of the pool and back to the room to get dressed and loaded up to check out at 11 am. We had a lot of time to kill, so we stopped at an antique store that I have always wanted to go to. It was really neat but very over priced of course. Then we went to Walmart, where we spent way to much money. Levi got a new basketball, a suit for church, dress socks and regular socks.

Mimi got a Baby Born Swimming Doll for $10!.... What a deal. She also got socks.

Brycie got some tights and a badmintion set.

We left Walmart and went to eat at KFC. Levi and I both had a yummy Mashed Potato Bowl...

The girls ate Popcorn Chicken and Potato Wedges.

When we had our fill, we went to the Dollar Store. THEN we headed to the park where Quinn was officiating. It was HUGE..... Soccor fields, softball/baseball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, skate area, slides & swings. Levi played basketball to his hearts content. Brycie & Mimi played badmintion. We left the park after we got bored and drove around. A bit later we came back to wait for Quinn. Levi watched some of the game, the girls played in the back of the Trailblazer and I slept.

When Quinn was done we went to Taco Bell and grabbed some food to hit the road and head to Grandma & Grandpa's house in Gilbert. Sunday we got up and went to sacrament meeting with them. Then we went back to the house and relaxed a bit. Later we headed to the baby blessing of our good friends baby...... Clintion Wade Morris. After it was over, we went to Chris and Heather's to eat some yummy food. Thanks Chris and Heather for allowing us to share this special day with you.

Next we were off to Tempe to attened the ordination of Curtis' oldest boy Joel. Again there was more yummy food. I think we ate WAY too much that day. While we were there my very talented sister-in-law took some pictures of my family. We were in need of an updated family picture. Our last one was Christmas Day of 07.... Taken by my talented brother-in-law. I will post our new pictures in another post. :)

Anyway..... Sunday evening we headed to my parents house in Pima. The kids got to spend some time with their cousins as well who were visiting from Arkansas. Monday the kids all played outside for hours. One of the things they did was go crawdad fishing in the ditches. I didn't get any pictures, but this is what a crawdad looks like if you don't know....

Pretty gross huh?

Monday evening.... Quinn & I took Levi, Brycie, John, Lesile and my brother George bowling. It was a lot of fun.

The younger kids stayed home with Grammie and played Spoons.

Tuesday we got up and headed back home. It was a fun few days and now we will stay home and enjoy the rest of Spring Break here.
