Bad words.........

So this morning we were reading scriptures as a family like we do every morning. And when we read we all take turns. So today as Mimi is reading 2 Nephi 9:10.....

O how great the goodness of our God, who prepareth a way for our escape from the grasp of this awful monster; yea, that monster, death and hell, which I call the death of the body, and also the death of the spirit.

She came to the word "hell".... stops and looks up.

Quinn prompts her with the word.

Mimi looks down at the word and still says nothing.

Levi tells her.... "Just say it"

She waits a few more seconds and skips right over the word and keeps on reading. Refusing to say it.

She is such a funny girl. It reminded me of a few months ago as I was taking my turn reading and read the word ass (as in donkey). Mimi's mouth fell open and she whispers to Brycie.... "I'm glad I didn't have to read that word."

I only hope she continues to feel that way as she gets older. :)

Disclaimer.......

Ok I must make a disclaimer to my previous post. I am not complaining about having to make the rolls. Because really.... I love to bake. Even if it's not for my own consumption. My complaint was to the time I have. I feel bad because really life (and the church) is all about service. Right? In Mosiah 2: 17 it says... "when ye are in service of fellow beings, ye are in service of God." Anyway.... I think I have figured out a way to take homemade ones and still get done all I need to get done. :)

Why?

Sometimes I open my mouth and stupid stuff comes out. Like last night when I was asked to make 2 dozen rolls for a funeral this Friday I said yes. Really? Not only do I work full time, but Thursday after school Levi has a game out of town. We are also getting ready to head down to my Mom's Friday after work/school and I need to pack for that. So I am not really sure when I will have the time to make them. Why did I say yes? Maybe it was the fact that I got the call at almost 9:30pm last night when I was already in bed asleep and I just didn't know what I was saying. Or just maybe it's the fact that I can't say no. But I did say yes, so I will just suck it up and find the time somewhere.

Ugh!~~

Really?! I hate Verizon! Why can't I upgrade my phone and keep my same calling plan? Our current calling plan does NOT exist anymore so we would have to upgrade to one that has more minutes and more expensive. We already don't use the 700 shared minutes we have! AND whats with a required $30 per PHONE for a DATA plan?! Seriously..... there aren't many phones that DON'T require the data plan. The ones that don't are a step down from my current phone. My phone is starting wig out on me and I need a new phone. Ugh!!!

Hmmmmm....

Mimi......... "Mom do you know what meth is?"....."Can you look up on the internet?"
Me.... "WHAT?!.... WHY?"
Mimi.... "Meth... you know....the stuff the 3 kings gave Jesus?"
Me.... "Bwahhh!... You mean Myrhh?!"
Mimi... "Yeah!!!"

LOL Still laughing over that one!

By the way.... It's for homework. She was suppose to find out and tell her teacher tomorrow.

Happy Birthday Levi~

It's crazy how time flies by so fast. I can clearly remember the day that this sweet boy came into my life 13 years ago. I was only 32 weeks pregnant and Quinn had just had his first day at ASU. Levi decided to make his entrance into this world 2 months early.


This picture was taken a few hours later. REALLY early in the morning after being flown to St. Josephs Hospital.

What a scary night that was. He started out his life at just 3 pounds 3 oz and 14 & 3/4 inches long. By the time he made it home one month later he was 4 pounds. What a fighter he was and I am pround of the young man he is becoming. I know he is going to do some great things in this life. I am grateful that we were blessed with him.

First Day of School 2010

Ok so I am a week late getting this posted, but the first week of school was crazy busy. On top of school, work, football practices, homework, etc.... I just never got around to posting. So here are the first day pictures.......

Levi has started 7th grade and is playing football this year. Brycie is in 6th grade and Mimi is in 3rd. They are growing up way too fast.
